Proactive Monitoring

Operating in tandem with remote monitoring, Advantage offers Advantage Proactive Monitoring, a system which proactively monitors events, pre-empting conditions which are likely to lead to system downtime.

An agent application runs on each monitored server, to automatically sense failures in the server and (in some cases) take remedial action, e.g. restarting a specific service or group of services. If the failed system cannot be automatically repaired, an alert is sent to Advantage - and we will action on it (dependent on support agreement).

The system also watches the event logs of the server which it is monitoring and will pick up any events which could lead to system failure - imminently or in the future. These are then flagged to Advantage - and we will take the necessary steps to fix the issue, before it leads to a serious failure or system outage
